Charles Ramsey Investment and financial consulting in the U.S. oil & gas exploration and production industry.  Oil and gas investments through Ramsey Energy LLC, a private investment company wholly-owned by Charles and Carletta Ramsey.

 Fourteen years (1986-2000) investment banking experience with Dean Witter and J.C. Bradford & Co.  Five years as Sr. V.P. and six years as Advisory Director to Dean Witter’s Energy Group in corporate finance.  Three years as Advisory Director to the energy group at Bradford.  Activities included public and private equity and debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, examiner in bankruptcy, fairness opinions and financial advisory.

Twelve years of senior management experience (1974-1986) in positions of President, Chief Executive Officer, and Executive Vice President of May Petroleum, a public oil company traded on the American Stock Exchange.  Participated in all management functions of building this company from 20 employees and no reserves in 1974 to managing  interests in 2000 wells with reserves of 100 BCFE, $70 million per year of oil and gas sales and an annual exploration budget of $50 million when the company was sold in late 1985.

Sixteen years as a practicing petroleum engineer including: Three years experience in appraisal and acquisition of oil and gas  properties and companies in positions of Vice President and President of James A. Lewis Engineering (1971-1974); Three years of property acquisition experience as Manager of Acquisitions for Pubco Petroleum (1968-1971); and Ten years (1958-1968) experience in drilling, production and reservoir engineering with Tenneco Oil and Pubco Petroleum. Currently director of Pioneer Natural Resources, Strata Drilling Technologies and Junior Achievement.  Formerly director of May  Petroleum, Lear Petroleum, Mbank Dallas and Dallas Petroleum Club.  Professional Petroleum Engineer, Colorado School of Mines, 1958.  Owner/Presidents Management Program, Harvard Business School, 1981.
